Specialized eating disorder therapy that gets to the root
Expert, weight-inclusive care for individuals ready to do the deeper work of healing their relationship with food, body & self – at whatever stage of recovery you’re in.
You don’t have to keep fighting this alone.
Eating disorders are not about food. They are about survival — the ways your mind and body learned to cope with pain, uncertainty, and experiences that were too much to carry alone.
At Strength & Healing, we understand the complexity beneath the surface. Whether you’re navigating anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, ARFID, or a complicated relationship with food that doesn’t fit neatly into a diagnosis — you deserve care that actually addresses what’s driving it.
A peaceful, empowered healing journey is within reach.
This is not about fixing your eating. It's about understanding yourself deeply enough that healing becomes possible.
Together, we will create a path toward lasting healing and a life where you feel at home in yourself.
You deserve this.
what makes our approach different
Most eating disorder treatment focuses on behaviors – what you’re eating, how much, how often. We start somewhere different.
We begin with your story.
Using inner child and parts work, somatic approaches, and a HAES framework, we explore the deeper experiences that shaped your relationship with food and your body. We work with the parts of you that developed eating disorder behaviors for a reason — not to eliminate them, but to understand them, honor what they protected you from, and gently help them find new ways forward.
This is slow, intentional, deeply relational work. And it is some of the most transformative healing there is.
What our work looks like:
- Explore the roots of your relationship with food and your body — not just the behaviors on the surface
- Work with the parts of you that developed coping strategies for a reason, with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment
- Rebuild trust with your body through a HAES and Intuitive Eating framework that honors your autonomy
- Process underlying trauma and attachment wounds that fuel eating disorder patterns
- Develop a more compassionate, grounded relationship with yourself over time
what sessions actually feel like
Sessions with me are unhurried and relational. We might spend time exploring a memory, noticing what’s happening in your body, or getting curious about a part of you that shows up around food. Some sessions feel like a breakthrough. Others feel quieter — like tending to something tender that hasn’t been touched before.
There is no agenda to fix you. The goal is always to understand you — more fully, more compassionately, and with more curiosity than shame.
Most clients meet weekly, especially in the earlier stages of our work together. Telehealth sessions make it possible to do this work from wherever you feel most comfortable.

What if I'm not ready to make changes?
You don’t have to be ready. In fact, ambivalence about change is one of the most normal and understandable parts of this process — especially when the behaviors you’re working with have kept you safe, helped you cope, or given you a sense of control during difficult times.
We never push for change before you’re ready. Instead, we slow down and get curious together — exploring what your coping strategies have been protecting you from, what needs they’ve been meeting, and what it would take to feel safe enough to find new ways forward.
The goal isn’t to take something away from you. It’s to understand it so deeply that, when the time is right, something better becomes possible.
Can I talk to you before scheduling?
Yes, just complete the form on the contact page and you can then schedule a free 15 minute call to discuss our services.
Do you only work with eating disorders?
While eating disorders are a core specialty, we also work with complex trauma, childhood trauma, attachment wounds, and the ways these experiences shape identity, relationships, and sense of self. Many clients come to us without a formal eating disorder diagnosis but struggling with their relationship with food, body image, or diet culture.
